OUR FEATURED MEMBER! H & H PET SERVICES LLC. PET SITTING AND BOARDING

Hey everyone!

My name is Heather and I am the co-owner of H & H Pet Services LLC. We specialize in Professional Pet Sitting and In-Home Boarding.

Here with me is Hana, one of my foster pets that is looking for her own Forever Home. Please let me know if you are interested in finding out more about her!

FOR HANA! Yes, if you are interested in adopting Hana or a different chihuahua please call Heather: 602-524-3565

My partner Heidi is a Veterinary Technician.

We have been in business since April 2007. I met Heidi when she worked at Queen Creek Vet and did a great job taking care of my numerous pets that I would bring in for routine exams. She fell in love with my 2 pound Toy Chihuahua (Tinkerbell) and wanted to make some outfits for her. She came over to my house with the outfits and she commented on my property/acreage. I told her it was my dream to start a doggie daycare. She said it was her dream too and that’s how we got started! We combined our love of animals with our different experiences to create H & H Pet Services LLC.

Right now we offer professional pet sitting at a client’s home (1-2 visits a day) in most of the East Valley or boarding at my home in Queen Creek. We are hoping to later expand into doggie daycare, grooming, and possible transportation services for people that cannot take their pets to the vet.
Our pet sitting services include TLC for the client’s pets and doing routine duties around their home so that it does not appear vacant. We can alternate lights, bring in paper/mail, trash, waste pickup and water plants. We also offer dog walking for an extra fee.
Boarding is provided right in my own home! Our clients love that the boarded dogs are part of my home and not a kennel environment or kept outside.

Dogs have acreage to run, play, and learn to socialize. I also board cats and caged pets. I am planning on making various improvements to my property throughout this year and into next year to expand our business.

We have experience with many animals including dogs, cats, birds, reptiles, rodents, fish, horses, and exotics (I have sugar gliders myself). We board all sizes and breeds of dogs from Chihuahuas to Great Danes - including Pitbulls and dogs with special needs.

I also recently became a foster mom with AZ Chihuahua Rescue. Chihuahuas are my favorite breed and I have 3 (soon to be 4) of my own! It has been very rewarding to take care of a dog in need until you find their forever home – but also sad to see them go.

Our company enjoys participating in local dog events such as the Petsmart Charities Petwalk, Barktoberfest, Chihuahua Races, and Woofstock - to name a few. We are a proud member of the Better Business Bureau and fully insured. We also recently passed a Pinal County inspection to obtain a kennel license so we can board more dogs in our future expansion.

NATIONAL "ADOPT A SHELTER DOG" MONTH

SNAKES IN ARIZONA

Article written by Kim MacCrone-CVT

Okay, we all live in Arizona because the weather is almost perfect, the sun is almost always shining, the golf courses are luscious, there are multiple and beautiful wide open spaces and endless hiking trails!

Surprisingly enough these are also places where some “not so delightful” inhabitants hang out in our state! You've heard the news this past week...... Snakes bites are on the rise!! Again!
Here are a few simple tips to help keep you safe.

If you hike:
 • Tap ahead of you with a walking stick before entering an area where you can't see your feet. Snakes will try to avoid you if given enough warning. • When hiking in an area known to have snakes, wear long pants and boots if possible
 • Consider purchasing a snake kit Avoid rock piles or tall green grass/bushes where snakes like to rest.

About 150 people in Arizona are bitten every year.
Some of Arizona’s rattlesnakes can also be lethal.

Scottsdale is notorious for having snakebites and s…

National Adopt a dog month  And National Adopt a Shelter dog month

Are you thinking about adopting a dog? Has the thought crossed your mind in the past few months? If so, that's great! This is the perfect month for you to get down to business and do just that!

You might be looking simply for a companion, maybe a hiking pal, a friend for your grandparents or parents, how about an agility hopeful, or just a happy, warm face to welcome you home each day? Then this might just be the perfect timing!

Across the valley there are numerous places that you can choose from to adopt a dog. Many Shelters are full and have weekend discounts so they can open up space for new dogs. Unfortunately some will be placed on the E-List almost immediately due to its breed, temperament or health.

A dog that is on the "E-List" (to be euthanized) is commonly a dog that might have growled when captured or put into a kennel, but it doesn't necessarily mean they are aggressive.

They were SCARED.
