Furbabies Delectable Delights dog treats celebrate their 8th year in business!

Happy 8 year Birthday Furbabies Delectable Delights!

Happy birthday to us!!!!!

Sept. 1st we're celebrating 8 years in business! Not only have we personally provided our all natural dog treats to a vast number of dogs, they are also sold in stores, such as Wholefoods in AZ and CA as well as smaller independent stores, boutiques & mobile groomers. We've grown so much since 2007, that we are in the process of transitioning from a home-based business to a factory-based business to help keep up with the demands.

One major thing that Furbabies Delectable Delights prides themselves on is the fact that since the beginning they only use quality human-grade ingredients that are truly safe for dogs. This is such an important aspect of what Furbabies Delectable Delights is all about that chef/owner, Angela Riservato, continues to personally make all the decisions on every ingredient that goes into everything that is made in the Furbabies' kitchen. Today, dogs are an integral part of the family & should be treated as such. They aren't just property, they are true family members that mean a lot to each & every member of that family!

Furbabies was started in 2007 when the issues started arising regarding tainted ingredients being used in certain dog foods & dog treats. The main issue from day one that continues today was never to include any ingredients from China or other questionable countries. As an owner of four family dogs, ingredient safety is key with her dog treats because having something that is supposed to be a treat that would in turn potentially harm the four legged members of her family would be totally devastating to her & her whole family.
Besides a wide variety of wheat & wheat-free treats available in many flavors, there are also cake-type treats for those dogs who are getting on in age or have difficulty chewing the standard biscuit treat. For birthday celebrations or an "adopt-a-versary", we offer bone-shaped cupcakes as well as two different size cakes! We also sell gift baskets for the dog who has everything!

Our treats can be purchased directly from us through or from any one of the following stores across the valley:

Wholefoods Market, Von Hanson's Meats & Spirits, Sibley's West, AJ'S (Chandler)

Okay, we all live in Arizona because the weather is almost perfect, the sun is almost always shining, the golf courses are luscious, there are multiple and beautiful wide open spaces and endless hiking trails!

Surprisingly enough these are also places where some “not so delightful” inhabitants hang out in our state! You've heard the news this past week...... Snakes bites are on the rise!! Again!
Here are a few simple tips to help keep you safe.

If you hike:
 • Tap ahead of you with a walking stick before entering an area where you can't see your feet. Snakes will try to avoid you if given enough warning. • When hiking in an area known to have snakes, wear long pants and boots if possible
 • Consider purchasing a snake kit Avoid rock piles or tall green grass/bushes where snakes like to rest.

About 150 people in Arizona are bitten every year.
Some of Arizona’s rattlesnakes can also be lethal.

Scottsdale is notorious for having snakebites and s…

Dogs and Valley Fever

Dogs and Valley Fever What you need to know

Dogs primarily contract Valley Fever (Coccidioidomycosis) in the low desert regions of Arizona, New Mexico, southwestern Texas and the central deserts of California. Dogs accompanying people traveling through these areas or wintering in these warm climates have about the same chance as their owners of being infected.

With the Monsoon season approaching, doctors say there will likely be increased cases of Valley Fever in people as well as in our pets.
Valley Fever is caused by a fungus that lives in the desert soil. As part of its life cycle the fungus grows in the soil and matures, drying into fragile strands of cells. The strands are very delicate and when the soil is disturbed; by digging, walking, construction, high winds-(Monsoons) the strands break apart in to tiny individual spores called arthroconidia or arthrospores.  We get Valley Fever by inhaling the fungal spores living in the dust when it's blown around by disturbance. The do…
